This is our bath house. We get water from the well, boil it and mix it with cooled water we previously boiled to get the temp we like. We then strip down and wash from a bucket. There is no screen on the door and no real way to let someone know you are there unless you sing real loud. Needless to say, we are getting to know one another very well!

Hillcrest Church and Falls Community Church have joined together to bring the Gospel as well as humanitarian aid to a remote village in Southern Sudan. The people of Southern Sudan have been devastated by the long civil war and genocide over religious freedom. Food security is the most important need in the area we are traveling to. We are going to help the village of Kalalayi build a farm that can sustain the village and produce enough extra as to sell in the local markets.

oh dear... a.w.k.w.a.r.d.
ReplyDeleteHope those spiders and scorpions stayed away while you slept and continue to do so.
you guys are troopers. what an experience!
ReplyDeleteThink of it as a very hot camping trip with large hairy spiders and the ability to "shoot in a smaller target" for a toilet. The Chinese love squatty potties and who knows, you guys may, too. We prayed for you at church and we continue to do so at home. What an amazing life-changing experience you guys are having.
