Ready or not here we come!

It’s the day we are leaving and I am up at 3:30 to get a jump on the jet lag. Jen isn’t sleeping very well as she is probably consumed with the thought of my leaving as well. Jenny is our family packer for trips. She is the one that makes sure everybody’s shampoos and liquids are all in protective Ziploc bags and ready for TSA inspection. As I was getting out of bed she quizzed me about my packing and has determined that I’m retarded. Apparently I need to do a little repacking!
Speaking of TSA, I’ve been hearing a tremendous amount of chatter on the talk radio circuit about these full body scanners that are in place in many airports to help with security. They take an amazing scan of your body and create a very clear picture of you without your clothes! I feel sorry for the TSA personnel that that will get an eyeful of my birthday suit. Apparently if you protest the scan, you get the full body pat-down or grouping as I remember it being called in my high school “health” class. Decisions!
One thing I am excited about is a tip I received from Anna Marie, she informed me that there is a spot in the Amsterdam airport food court that has the best French Fries on the planet. It’s called Vlaamse Frites, I will personally check this out!

  1. May your trip not include any cavity searches....and if it does, may it only be to Ben. Happy flying my friends! What amazing things lie ahead of you.
